Imperial Eagle Conservation Projects

The survey and conservation of the globally threatened eastern imperial eagle is undertaken with an increasing intensity since 1974 in the close cooperation between BirdLife Hungary, the Hungarian National Park Directorates and several other governmental and civil organizations. The program has been supported by several national and international organizations During the last 40 years, out of which the two projects supported by the European Union's LIFE Nature programme, are exceptional both in terms of their results and their available sources.
