The Raptor Protection section of the BirdLife Hungary (MME) and the Directorate of the Körös-Maros National Park (KMNPI) has jointly organised the 10th FalconLure Meting in the Körösvölgy visitor centre of the KMNPI.
The FalconLure Meeting was first organised in 2006 to facilitate the personal meeting and information exchange among experts working on birds of prey conservation and research. The growing popularity of the 9 previous meetings approved the idea, it proved to be a very useful event for the experts of this area. Besides the summary of country level species protection programmes this year many new topic was presented and discussed: ringing techniques such as individual colour coded ring combinations, geolocators, dataloggers, satellite tracking devices, and also the experiences on nest cameras. Several research programmes conducted outside the borders of Hungary were also presented.
